Visiting hours

Eric, Kaia and I would like to invite everyone to come meet our gorgeous little angel this coming Tuesday, July 7th from 4-7 at McGorray Hanna Funeral Home in Lakewood for visiting hours. In lieu of a funeral, we will be having a memorial service for her, after she is cremated. Details of that are still being determined. For now, we just want everyone to meet her before we send her off to God.

  1. Steph&Eric,
I am your cousin Beths' Mother-in-law to be Joyce,I met both of you down Pittsburgh, when my son John purposed to Beth.
I had to tell you how much your darling daughter had captured our hearts! We loved her and will miss her!I followed your blog, how heart renching it all was.My love and prayers go out to all three of you!
I will continue to pray for you.Your little angel is in heaven watching out for her mommy and daddy now!She will not be forgotten in our hearts for she touched our lives forever!
As I lay down to sleep I pray to God my soul to keep,if I should dye before I wake,I pray the Lord my soul he takes, and he did.A new little angel in heaven named, "Kaia!"
    Love to you both

  2. There are no words. I cry for you - but celebrate for the joy Kaia brought you. I don't know you or your family. But we are praying for you...

  3. Steph, the writing and the way you have captured the raw and heartbreaking emotions here is absolutely incredible. You, Eric and Kaia are the most beautiful, strong people ever. You have so much courage to put out there all of the grief and emotions you have faced, and it will not ever be in vain. You are an advocate for triumph over adversity; you are an advocate for all babies effected by developmental problems and their families; and your blog serves as a testament to the human spirit and true, unconditional love. Kaia's life and your family's story will help others.

We will see you and your family tomorrow night, my lady.

  5. I am crying so hard reading your story. I am 21 weeks pregnant and my little girl is diagnosed with HLHS. I am struggling with "the decisions" we face and I wonder if I will cause my baby to suffer by trying to save her...I wish I could talk with you, but I know you may not be up to it. If you are up to it my email is achjak@aol.com. I am so sorry for your loss, my heart is breaking for you.
